Vehicle Inspections

In addition to their Car Data Check service RAC also offer a Vehicle Inspection service to help you make certain that the vehicle you are going to purchase is roadworthy and safe. An experienced RAC engineer will give the vehicle a full inspection and test drive, and then discuss their findings with you on the day. This will then be followed up with a written report posted or emailed to you the next day.

International Driving Permit

If you are planning on driving abroad then you may need an International Driving Permit depending on which country you are going to. To be eligible for an IDP you need to have a full UK driving license and be a permanent resident of the UK. RAC provide a step by step guide of how to apply for an IDP and the relevant download on their site.

Camping Card International

The Camping Card International is a useful document if you are planning a camping or caravan trip. It can act as ID, and can be used as security instead of your passport at some campsites. It covers you for up to 1.8 million euros worth of third party insurance for accidental damage at campsites. Valid for 1 year and covering up to 11 people the Camping Card International is a useful thing to have, especially when you can also obtain discounts at selected campsites and tourist attractions with it!
